Adonis Golden Ratio – Adonis Index

I’m starting on the Adonis Golden Ratio program!


When I first created my bulletin board of dreams a few years back, I came across this information on the internet.  Basically it’s about building the perfect male physique for you body type which is based on the golden ratio (1.61803398875).  Right now my body ratio is at 1.33.  I need to add 4 inches to my shoulders and loose 4 inches on my waist.


Because of the metabolic workouts that I’ve been doing, my body looks good, but there isn’t a lot of lean muscle mass.  More toning is going on right now and my body fat is just a few percentages above the desired level hovering at 20% when I need to be between 10-15%.  My metabolism age is 33, but that’s not bad.  It needs to be back in my 20’s.  My bone density is good and my hydration is good and overall I’m healthy.


I took my measurements and body index at a gym that sells Herbalife products.  Herbalife is an MLM where the business model of the company has been in question particularly by attacks from a hedge fund manager Bill Ackman who claims it’s a pyramid scheme and positioned himself to short on it’s stock and lost $500 million dollars. According to other sources they expect Herblife’s stock to continue going up. Anyway, the product line itself is actually very high quality and is being used by athletes and sports players, even making it’s way into the NFL. Their meal replacements are like a dollar a day (which is cheap!) and they have high endurance products known as the 24 line specifically engineered for athletes. I’m not sure about it’s business structure, not a huge fan of MLM although my parents met at an MLM, Amway way back in the early 80’s. My personality doesn’t really suit the MLM marketing model because I’m very picky with my social circles and once someone gets on my blacklist, they don’t get out. However Herbalife’s product itself is superior and I will be ordering it for it’s high nutrient density value.


Everything is falling into place.  The adonis index has everything lined up in scheduled workout plans and meal plans for each kind of body type. Mine is category 3. Muscle gain and fat loss. I have a strong nutritional line of products to choose from, primarily the meal replacements and am continuing the metabolic workouts. HARD GAINS this month.


We Are What We Think


The great Buddha is correct on this.  We make our world with our thoughts.  Yesterday I was thinking about some of the misfortunes I had and I made a change of thought in myself, that this is bullshit.  My luck is going to change and it’s going to change immediately.  Right now.

A few years ago I made that conscious effort but without a rationalization of it.  For some reason when I rationalize something it becomes concrete and set in stone.  Since I have come to a point where I have rationalized the significance of this mental change it will be more permanent.  When I made that conscious effort, good things happened.  It was as if some hidden force responded to the positive output and in exchange I landed several positive developments in my life.  It’s time I set that up again and begin that positive change.  Transformation I guess you could call it.

You can read nice quotes all day and you can learn things about the positive change in mentality but actually changing these concepts in your mind will bring about lasting change and very positive developments.  I noticed this in my own life those years ago and positive developments were taking shape.  Since I know this change to be true having experienced it, now having internally rationalized this positive change in mind, I can then act upon it as set in stone to go about creating lasting positive change in a direction that will bring me more fulfillment in my life, arriving at a state of being happy.  Happiness is not something you obtain, it’s a state of mind.  This takes that change in thought.  I guess I can’t stress enough that just reading good quotes won’t do it.  It’s a change in mentality that does it.

Bulletin board of dreams help.  Thinking about goals and positive outcomes is another way.  I think I’ll redevelop my bulletin board of dreams again and make it permanent.

Fitness – The History

My fitness starts off young, as a high schooler, when my father began workout lessons with a man called Phillip Bradfield.  Phillip Bradfield was a bodybuilder and competed in the circuit.  He turned his life around from being a cocaine addict to becoming a drug free bodybuilder.  I have respect for that man.  I recently called him in the last couple years and talked to him about my own level of accomplishment.  Finally I’m getting to that point.  I’m still a slender person but my build and strength has increased from the metabolic workouts and swimming I’ve done for the last few years.

When I was a kid I did a lot of active sports.  I really liked soccer and basketball and played quite a bit.  As I went into my middle school and high school years, my introversion became more pronounced and my sports activities dropped to very little as I began to use my creative abilities and spent time thinking about things philosophically.  I really liked philosophy then.  When I was in high school my dad put me through that workout program with Phillip Bradfield.  I was working out for roughly 2 months and I was showing changes back then however my dad had a heart attack in the gym.  Considering my age of 15-16 and with no ability to drive, I stopped working out.  In fact the heart attack was a massive heart attack and ambulance personnel had to shock him 10 times in the gym, in front everyone, to get his heart pumping again.  Needless to say, I stopped going.

I was never really that skinny.  I was average but I went through a special circumstance when I was 19 that created an abnormal skinniness that stayed throughout my early 20’s to later 20’s.  I went through a heartbreak.  Everyone goes through them and you never forget your first love.  Well mine was a special kind of heartbreak, a kind of “value-devalue-discard” heartbreak, as described being a predictive behavioral continuum of psychopathic people.  I slipped into a vortex of deep depression greeted at the event horizon with brief psychosis disorder.  Brief psychosis can last up to a month and usually attributed before a deep depression, triggered by emotionally traumatic events.  I lost weight, a lot of weight in that horrible summer.  I went from an average 165-170lbs to probably 130-140lbs being 6’1″.  I looked emaciated.  This skinniness stayed with me for almost 8 years.  As a couple years rolled through proceeding that event, I gained some weight back but not with any kind of muscular growth.  It wasn’t until my mid 20’s that I started to try and change that but it was short lived.

I have gained significant weight within the last 3-4 years of my life from scheduled swimming classes and aerobics and metabolic workouts.  I did it the slow way where I did not pump iron in a short period of time with lots of protein.  I took it slow and now I’m hovering at 185-190lbs, mostly muscle.  I have my physique back and I’m gaining more musculature growth and development while working on my metabolic workouts.  I have both upper and lower body strength and am continuing with my body development.  My goal is to look close to a model, from say Calvin and Klein.  I am not doing this because I want to attract more women.  It has nothing to do with that.  I want to be healthy and visually powerful while attaining my goal.  Since I’m balding, a strong stern look, shiny head, goatee or beard with masculine features and a hard body will help me gain some time back from that lost decade having tried to run away from the darkness of my past.

My goal is to obtain this look by the time I am 33.  I am 32.  I am no longer a stick and never will be.
